This week years 4-8 performed a production of Oliver with a Twist. Oliver with a Twist is based on the book and movie Oliver Twist but a junior version when no one dies. Oliver with a twist is about an orphan boy who’s parents died but still has a living grandfather, in this show Oliver joins a crime gang and is forced to pickpocket. Bill Skye’s is an undercover cop who had been trying to expose the lady that owns the crime gang for months. By the end of the play Oliver and all the orphans go to a school run by Bill, Nancy (who is a kind lady who was taking care of all the children in the crime gang) and Mister Brownloe who is Oliver’s grandfather. This week has been a busy but fun week with four performances and one dress rehearsal. I was just in a dance which means the people who actually had speaking roles in the play would have been working a lot harder and had a lot of rehearsals on the weekend and after school. I found this production very fun and a lot of memories were made.
My favourite character was probably Nancy because she was so caring and kind.
My favourite song was Rise Like a Phoenix
My favourite line “I had my favourite handkerchief stolen last week, it was used as well” by Ava.
Have you seen Oliver Twist?
